Having nearly fallen victim to a very sophisticated scam, we have decided to remove names and email addresses of the committee from our website. Please don't think us unfriendly! If you are interested in joining us or would like further information, please contact our Membership Secretary on 01252 629669.
We have a number of scores available for hire to other choirs.
LUMINOSA – the choir formerly known as Holybourne Singers – will be performing in St. Andrew’s Parish Church, Farnham on Saturday 25th November at 7.30 pm along with International Concert Pianists Chad Vindin and Nico De Villiers. Under the baton of the choir’s Artistic Director, Rebekah Abbott, Luminosa will be joined by soloists Monika Bilewicz (soprano), William Morgan (tenor) and Ben Cooper (bass), as well as a children’s choir comprising Luminosa Young Voices, and students from Eggar’s and Amery Schools in Alton.
The Concert will include the electric Carmina Burana by Carl Orff, a popular and dramatic cantata that was written in 1936 and Elgar’s sublime and enchanting Songs from the Bavarian Highlands, a set of 6 songs written as a remembrance of a holiday the family had enjoyed in Bavaria in 1894. In addition, Luminosa Chamber Choir will complete this exciting and varied programme with Songs and Cries of London Town, a choral cantata composed by Bob Chilcott that is accompanied by piano duet and percussion.
Tickets are £15 (under 18s at £5) from Waterstones Alton and Farnham or email@example.com

Brahms Requiem, Winchester Cathedral
Almost exactly 150 years after its first performance, WMC and Winchester College perform one of the greatest choral works of the 19th century, Brahms' German Requiem, along with the less well-known but equally beautiful Song of Destiny. James Newby, winner of the 2016 Kathleen Ferrier Award, and Julie Cooper, best known as a member of award-winning choir The Sixteen, join us as soloists in the magnificent space of Winchester Cathedral. www.winchestermusicclub.org.uk
