Fleet Choral Society - a good, friendly choir in Fleet, Hampshire

Having nearly fallen victim to a very sophisticated scam, we have decided to remove names and email addresses of the committee from our website.  Please don't think us unfriendly!  If you are interested in joining us or would like further information, please contact our Membership Secretary on 01252 629669.

Dutch Renaissance Masters – glittering choral treasures from the time of Breughel

This is the first of several themed concerts we will be singing this year which will be based on lesser-known composers and works from the Renaissance. Our first programme of the year focusses on music from the Low Countries, including Lassus, Clemens and Sweelinck. The choir will sing a balance of intensively beautiful sacred works and jaunty secular pieces.

Tickets available by phoning 023 9247 5259, by visiting https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/renaissancechoir, or on the door.

Saturday 24th March, 7.45pm

St Swithun's Church, Yateley

Yateley Choral Society’s (YCS) Musical Director, Quintin Beer, has put together a definitive selection box of the very best of the English choral tradition. There will be something in the programme for everyone, making this concert a splendid way to spend the evening of 24th March.

Sacred music has always held a central role in the UK’s choral tradition and our diverse programme will take the audience through various narratives, convictions and reflections on the state and meaning of human existence, through a uniquely British perspective.

Plus, we are delighted to be joined by Benjamin Newlove, former organ scholar at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, who will showcase some distinctive English organ music.
